On May 29th, light heavyweights Jackson and Evans will face off at the main event of the UFC 114 scheduled at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  But this isn’t just any UFC betting event as it’s been recently pre-confirmed by UFC president Dana White that the winner of the UFC 114 odds bout will face the current light heavyweight champion, Mauricio Rua.  That recent announcement has added all the more anticipation to the UFC 114 betting action and added extra pressure to the fighters in this particular UFC 114 odds matchup. 

Both Jackson and Evans are amidst the top competitors in MMA betting and the two men are previous UFC betting winners.  Both have lately lost that title and are fighting their way back to the top of the MMA betting world.  But there is no question that Evans is better positioned to get back the belt he lost at the impending UFC 114 betting event. 

As said previously, Jackson’s last UFC betting competition was March 7th …of 2009.  That means that almost 15 months will have passed by when he ultimately climbs in to the Octagon on May 29th since he’s had an MMA betting match.  The UFC 114 betting competition is his first time in a competitive fight in more than a year.  And Rashad Evans is not the sort of competitor you really want to encounter in your first bout in greater than a year. 

But Evans has various tactical vantages also and should be the favorite to overcome this UFC 114 betting competition.  Evans is amongst the most resourceful competitors in the light heavyweight class as he’s a pro of striking, wrestling and has two black belts in martial arts disciplines.  Jackson is more of a brawler with primarily wrestling and boxing skills in his tool chest. 

Nevertheless, he’s no push over, and if he’s in as good a shape as he claims to be then the UFC 114 betting Main Event will be very remarkable indeed.
