It is the second game of a 3-game Interleague run.  The Red Sox have performed reasonably well in the past versus Philadelphia in MLB betting, claiming 7 of the last 10.

The Sox have had their ups and downs this season in baseball odds. They have received better play recently from designated hitter David Ortiz.  That has meant less playing time for Mike Lowell. He didn’t even start against the Yankees when CC Sabathia was pitching. “I don’t know,” said Lowell. “I think it’s a little unfortunate, but I think somewhat that it’s painfully evident I don’t really have a role on the team.” The Boston Red Sox could truly use Lowell. They are paying Adrian Beltre a lot of cash to play third base, but Beltre can’t hit.  Boston was a much stronger team with Lowell in the lineup but the Boston Red Sox made the choicetheir choice to sign Beltre and at this point in the season the Boston Red Sox don’t seem like a playoff team.  Lowell is simply stuck in a poor situation right now. “But I mean yeah, I’m a little bit in limbo, because, like I said, I don’t want to get at-bats at the expense of other guys. I kind of think there’s bad karma there.” said Lowell.
